The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Field Office, Kasulu invites qualified internal/external candidates to apply for the following position:

Position Title: Registration Assistants (7 posts)

Duty Station: Kasulu, Tanzania
Duration: Three (3) months
Start Date: 07 January 2019 (Nyarugusu)

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Registration Officer, the incumbent will undertake the following responsibilities:
Responsibility
Participate in registration interviews/data entry/documentation in accordance with local SOPs and registration standards.
Respond to queries from persons of concern regarding UNHCR's registration procedures, and their rights and entitlements under the guidance of her/his supervisor.
Maintain accurate and up-to date records and data related to all individual registration
cases.
Identify persons with specific needs and ensure timely referral to protection and or relevant units for follow-up as required.
Collaborate with Protection/Field staff and/or partners in the delivery of assistance and programming, including provision of identity and entitlement documentation Act as interpreter and translator when needed. Perform other related duties as required.

Authority
Refer cases to other units within the office and to implementing partners as necessary.
Essential & Desirable Minimum requirements
Completion of secondary education preferably with post-secondary training or certificate in social science, statistics, mathematics, information technology or related fields. Minimum 2 years of relevant job experience Good computer skills.
Excellent knowledge of English and local language. Knowledge of another relevant UN language will be an added advantage.
Training in basic principles of international protection.
Experience in working with UNHCR ProGres software.
