5,410 Job Opportunities At The Ministry of Internal Affairs For Police Force In Tanzania

Dodoma. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced 5,410 jobs for its Police, Prisons, Immigration and Firefighters.

This was explained yesterday by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Kangi Lugola when he was presenting the projections of revenue and expenditure for the financial year 2019/20.
Despite these jobs, Minister Lugola mentioned other priorities of his ministry as construction of military buildings, improvements of police colleges, tools for immigration forces, Prisons, Police and Firefighters.

"Other priorities are to continue implementing the Military Military Strategy and food security, reducing the concentration of prisoners and inmates by enhancing the organization's functioning of prisons and buying cars and fire extinguishers and accelerating issuing of National Identity," said Lugola.

He said these priorities have focused on President John Magufuli's instructions at different times, preventing violence against women, the National Development Vision 2025 and the Second Five-Year Development Plan 2016/17 - 2020/21

He said the security situation in the country has continued to improve despite the number of cases reported to include 45,574 significant cases during March 2018 to March 2019.

Minister Lugola said in 2019/20, the Police Force plans to recruit youth 3,725 and upgrade troops who deserve to improve performance. During the same period, the Prisons also expect to provide 685 jobs and educate his troops at various colleges and firefighters are allocated 500 positions each.
