BACKGROUND
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is an international non-governmental organization which
provides assistance and promotes durable solutions for refugees and internally displaced people,
on the basis of humanitarian principles and human rights.
DRC is a humanitarian actor in Tanzania and has been operating in Tanzania from October 2015
since the establishment of Nduta refugee camp. As part of the Burundian Refugee Response in
Tanzania, DRC implements programs in Nduta and Mtendeli camps in the sectors of camp
management, community-based protection, protection, livelihoods, general food distribution and
WASH.
